At the 70th annual Tony Awards on Sunday night, David Rockwell received the award for Best Scenic Design of a Musical for She Loves Me. This marks the architect's sixth nomination for scenic design and first win.

Rockwell, principal of the Rockwell Group, has been designing for the Broadway stage since 2000, snagging Best Scenic Design nominations for plays and musicals including On the Twentieth Century (musical, 2015), You Can't Take It With You (play, 2015), Kinky Boots (musical, 2013), Lucky Guy (play, 2013), and Hairspray (2003).
