Museum of Contemporary Craft will present Glass: A Site-Specific Installation by Melissa Dyne. The installation will explore the increasingly blurred lines between craft and trade, industry and art. The exhibition will display one large sheet of industrially-produced skyscraper glass and two wall-sized photographs of the warehouse in which the panes are produced. The leading architect of Palladian country houses in Ireland was Sir Edward Lovett Pearce, who provided interior details at Castletown and the design for Bellamont Forest, c. 1730, among other work. Tokyo-based architecture studio explores the use and function of space within urban environments. As working architects in Tokyo, Atelier Bow-Wow developed the term "pet architecture" a style of small, ad hoc, multi-functional structures that make the most of limited space. For over 10 years, they have also created "micro public spaces" within the framework of art exhibitions. Launching in advance of the July 20 opening of Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling-an exhibition exploring factory-produced architecture-is a special online project documenting the planning, fabrication, delivery, and assembly of five architectural works specially commissioned for the exhibition. The five homes will be installed one at a time on MoMA’s vacant west lot beginning in early June. This process will continue up to the exhibition’s public opening and will be visible to the public from the city streets.
