Bill Smith, that is the total percentage, not the percentage based on individual prestigious universities. The question of affirmative action, though important, is unrelated to the question of how many women or men choose to go into the profession.<\/div>\n

Can\'t we accept that men and women are different? Why must we force people into such rigid social structures? If architecture has more males, that is not a bad thing. Men and women are equal, but not the same. We have to discard that outdated thinking that just because all professions do not have equal percentages of men to women that it is evidence of discrimination or that \"something needs to done\". Allow people the freedom to choose. <\/div>\n

The increase of women pursuing architecture degrees is outstanding news. I wonder what the true cause behind it is. Also, unfortunately from what I see, Cal Poly Pomona did not make it to the 2016 list. I am pretty sure it\'s been competing with these schools on an equal level since.
