Architects create walls, and we live in Mexico.
A wall is necessary to protect. Those who use Mexican subs are only looking at their personal finance. Not ethical. Keep it simple and restrict illegals, drugs, and terror. Do we need another 9-11 to make people understand evil does exist. Most all mexicans understand the cartels and
the southern Mexico border porosity which is not healthy for Mexico. Architects need to rethink.

 Post Comment
 Report Abusive Comment

Border Wall

George Broaddus

March 27, 2017

If this wall is to be built and it is most likely will, it needs architects involved to have it look better than the current fencing. It should be something that can be decorated, shows commonalities between the two countries and inspires people to come here legally. Personally, I do not think it should be built, but we need a relationship with our Mexican neighbors that will bring to fruition, a plan to eliminate illegal immigration.

 Post Comment
 Report Abusive Comment

Border Wall

Christopher Owen

March 28, 2017

History answers the question as to the validity of a border wall. It\'s beyond absurd and would create nothing more than increased debt, animosity and worse.
Current statistics show few Mexicans or others any longer interested in attempting, or willing to risk the dangers of illegal entry. In fact leaving and returning south to Mexico\'s vastly improved economy is rapidly becoming far preferable.
The cost, which we know would be beyond prohibitive therefor unaffordable would be better spent on education, reduction of our prison population (elimination of privately owned and run prisons), infrastructure, and national debt.
It\'s way beyond the time that we, especially our current government, accept that Mexico is our closest neighbor, ally, and trade partner.
Without Mexico our economy would soon topple. This is so obvious it barely requires stating.
Living in Mexico as I do 4 months each year for the past 17 years, I can attest with certainty to the above.

This proposed wall is simply another of Trump\'s many idiotic and potentially dangerous ideas.

As to the drug issue, which is grim, with wasted dollars foolishly spent in combating the influx, and statistically with no reduction, we have to accept that the US is the prime entity creating the market which includes the related crime on both sides of the border. Again that money would more than cover the necessary education starting from youth.

 Post Comment
 Report Abusive Comment

');
