Yesterday’s rain drove many Washington, D.C. residents with young children to the National Building Museum. The museum’s wide-open hall plays host to a flash-mob of toddlers and their families taking advantage of the museum’s Building Zone program, which provides hands-on building toys throughout the space.

Another attraction is the exhibition LEGO Architecture: Towering Ambition, which showcases the work of Adam Reed Tucker who trained as an architect and has constructed 15 large-scale models out of LEGO, from the Empire State Building to the St. Louis Gateway Arch. The exhibition is on display through September 5.
