Amid the mixers and the mingling, A’23 provided a platform to address issues within the architecture profession and recognize built achievements.

On display at this year’s AIA conference in San Francisco, the winning photographs showcase the role of photography in interpreting and communicating the built environment.

This month’s dates and events include a Raqs Media Collective exhibition commissioned by the Jencks Foundation at the late architectural theorist's eclectic home in west London. 

The annual competition honors professionals and students in the realms of architecture and design.

The former president suggested that architects speak less and listen more at the conference’s final keynote event.
