Photo © Simon Upton Tsao and McKown contrasted the rectilinear lines of the delicate post-and-beam timber structure with the serpentine ones of their own custom-designed sofas and chairs, demonstrated dramatically in the living area. The interior is suffused with luminosity owing to two 16-by-18 foot skylights over the living and dining areas. The resin-and-bronze illuminated dining table was designed by the architects to match the upholstery of their custom dining chairs.
