Each month RECORD reviews building product related web sites and blogs that might be of interest to our readership. We visit each site, kick the tires a bit, and share what it is about and how it functions. Please let us know if there is a site you've found particularly useful, well-designed, or easy to navigate. — Rita Catinella Orrell

SpecEngine, a new specification tool from KI, makes the design and installation of KI’s Genius architectural walls easier by generating drawings, pricing, and materials listings in real time, significantly reducing lead times and improving product accuracy. Unlike other spec tools, SpecEngine is web-based and doesn’t require software or licensing fees to run. The program runs on a KI password-protected site, allowing users to store and retrieve an unlimited number of project libraries, product inventories, and documentation.
www.laticrete.com
Laticrete has launched the Laticrete LEED Project Certification Assistant, a new online tool that automatically generates all of the information required for Laticrete products on a specific LEED project, making the certification process a bit easier. After a short but painless registration process, the tool quickly produces an Adobe Acrobat file for each Laticrete product selected stating its VOC content, recycled content, manufacturing location, raw material sources, Greenguard for Children & Schools certification, technical data sheets, and a map showing the location of your project with a 500-mile radius circle depicting its relation to Laticrete manufacturing facilities.
