Brooklyn-based artist Heather Hart’s installation Oracle of Lacuna at Storm King Art Center invites visitors to shift their perspective by venturing in, around, and on top of the rooftop of a house, seemingly buried underground.
The site-specific work, made of shingles and other traditional building materials, represents the fifth chapter of Outlooks—the sculpture park’s annual exhibitions series—and marks the first time an artist has created a work intended for public participation and programming, which will include workshops and performances of music, spoken word, and poetry.
Oracle of Lacuna will be on view from May 13 to November 26, 2017.
