Architects worldwide are now welcome to submit an Expression of Interest for West Kowloon Cultural District Authority's "M+" museum of visual culture, to be completed in 2017. At 650,000 square feet, the museum will be on par with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Located on Victoria Harbour next to a 34-acre park, the M+ is meant to be a "flagship hub for visual culture from the 20th and 21st century, alongside major performance spaces, creating interdisciplinary exchange between the visual arts and the performing arts in the city," according to a press release.

The deadline for an Expression of Interest is October 15, 2012. Six teams will be shortlisted in December. The jury includes Rafael Moneo and Eve Blau. For more information, visit wkcda.hk/en/what_s_new/index.html.
