A competition jury for the Nanjing Jiangning Civic and Cultural Center in Nanjing, China, has recently selected New York City-based Peter Pran + H Architects' design for a new cultural facility. The sleek 500,000-square-foot structure will have a concert hall, theater, and other amenities. Connecting to a neighboring park, the building will be situated on a picturesque island surrounded by rivers. Nanjing-based Urban Interface Design and Seoul-based Heerim Architects collaborated on the design.
