Jacob Brillhart

Jacob Brillhart

Jacob Brillhart has built his career as an architect, painter and professor of architecture. Jacob earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Tulane University, his Masters from Columbia University, and he is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami School of Architecture where he has taught all levels of Design Studio, and Freehand Drawing. He is the founder of Brillhart Architecture, a firm born out of a love for and facility with “making” things, which also embraces a very hands-on, “knowledge-how” ethos that extends beyond design.  Jacob is also engaged in sustainable building practices and was honored with the 2008 AIA Miami Design Merit Award for his “Mechanical House” and he was recently nominated as a finalist for the 2010 Rome Prize in Architecture.
