Architectural Products for Accessible Design

Ada 25
This luminaire is based on a 1960s-era fixture by French architect Charlotte Perriand but named for its compliance with modern standards for accessibility. Ada 25 extends a family of sconces first introduced by Brendan Ravenhill Studio in 2016. This driverless LED measures 25" long, has a high color-rendering index of 90, and projects 3½" from walls. Recommended for use along corridors and walkways, rows of its fin-shaped reflectors can create a warm wayfinding glow indoors and out.

Embold
In partnership with contract-furnishings company Steelcase, manufacturer Embold has launched a collection of booth systems, tables, and chairs that accommodate users in a wide range of weight categories and age groups and add residential warmth to healthcare settings. The collection’s chairs feature backs, legs, and arms engineered for topple-proof support, and seats come in optional bariatric widths, with a moisture barrier beneath the contract-grade upholstery.

Nest Series
Flexibility is at the center of this collection, which Turkish bath manufacturer VitrA has developed in partnership with Finnish design studio Pentagon. Components such as washbasins that can be used while seated, mobile storage units and footstools, and integrated grab bars are all meant to support multiple generations in residential settings.

Range 477/801
This sturdy polyamide shower seat and adjustable hand-shower rail, from manufacturer Hewi’s patient-room solutions, feature the company’s classic tubular design and corrosion-proof steel core. Available in seven colors—Pure White (shown), Stone Gray, Anthracite, Jet Black, Sand, Umber, and Ruby Red—the bath fittings are installed using steel mounting flanges, which enable the fold-up seat to hold up to 771 pounds.

Lift Lock
A sash lock that is built into the lower rail instead of the upper one on Marvin’s Ultimate Single Hung Next Generation windows is the company’s latest innovation in accessible design. The convenient placement integrates the lock with the lift handle for easier operation—windows lock automatically when closed.

Lineare Bathtub Faucet
Equipped with the company’s high-quality ceramic cartridge inside, Grohe’s latest ADA-compliant tub filler automatically diverts water to its single-handle faucet and the handshower’s 49" hose for ease of use.
Modularity, one-hand control, and balance support invite everyone to use these furnishings and fittings.
