Architectural Record is pleased to announce the winners of its annual Products of the Year competition, organized by senior editor Matthew Marani. Applicants included a global selection of recently introduced interior finishes and lighting, software and technology, building materials and systems, and kitchen and bath products. The jury (below) of U.S.-based architects and engineers chose 67 products for their inventiveness, functionality, sustainability, and performance.

The Jury

Katherine Chan
Chan is a principal of Walter P Moore. She aligns design intent with specific performance requirements. Her focus on building enclosures and specialty structures allows her to combine her interests in structural engineering, architecture, and sustainability.

Tim Fryatt
Fryatt is a partner at Marvel. Award-winning projects, all in New York, include the landmark Battery Maritime Building’s adaptive reuse and the master plan for Staten Island’s Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, among others.

Michelle Wagner
Wagner brings deep expertise in managing complex, large-scale projects from concept through completion. As project director at Morris Adjmi Architects, she has been instrumental in delivering some of the firm’s most ambitious mixed-use developments.

Megumi Tamanaha
Tamanaha joined ARO in 2000, and has since become the studio director. She has led multiple projects in this role, including Brooklyn Bridge Park and Brooklyn Botanic Garden, retail designs, a synagogue, and several academic and commercial projects.
