Tech Lighting's new Crossroads suspension luminaire is inspired by the glow of big-city streets and intersections at night. Made of sheets of raw steel—protected with a clear lacquer coat and accented by brass spot-welding at the joints—the 46”-long by 6”-high by 4.5”-deep fixture has a rugged, industrial look. Coordinating pieces include a 13” x 3” ADA-compliant wall sconce and a 10.5” x 3.5” low-voltage cylindrical pendant. All three fixtures come with halogen and LED (120-volt and 27-volt) lamping options.

Using the ZigBee Light-Link standard, Hue bulbs can communicate with each other and have a broad signal range, regardless of the location of the bridge in a home or commercial space. The system can easily integrate with other ZigBee-based systems, such as motion sensors and home thermostats, and users can remotely create custom lighting environments from over 16 million colors. Hue will be exclusively available at Apple stores for $199.
