Explore the evolution of exterior wall systems, defines key components such as air barriers, water-resistive barriers, and vapor retarders, and explains the critical role of continuity in preventing moisture-related failures. Participants will review air barrier system types, performance standards (ASTM, IECC, IBC), and code requirements, while gaining practical insight into material selection, system compatibility, and installation considerations. The course emphasizes how proper design and integration of envelope systems improves durability, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality.
