Presenting a new model for shopping centers, the firm’s proposal weaves elements of conventional shopping centers with those of big-box super centers into a landscape of terraced residential buildings and public park space. The large-scale model consists of a series of highly transformable spatial types that accommodate a wide variety of programs. Departing from the norm of shopping centers over the past fifty years, this model’s design is based on intense integration of both building and landscape.
