Project size: 4,600 square feet

Program: The architect was tasked with designing a single-family house that would respectfully respond to its context within a residential neighborhood, and that would be suitable for the tropical setting.

Location: Samborondón, Ecuador

Solution: Responding to the climate, the house has large wood-covered eaves that generate shadow. A double-height interior courtyard enhances the integration with the exterior.

Construction and materials: Throughout both the interior and the exterior, the house’s material palette comprises wood, marble, metal, and concrete.
