“To be successful, the LAX/Metro Transit Center had to be straightforward and elegant. We're reconciling a number of transportation needs, all with distinct programs and technical requirements. But it also had to address a remarkable vertical climb to meet the automated people mover. All these things coming together needed to be done in a way where there's an intuitiveness of the movement. From an architectural point of view, I think one of the strongest signatures of the project is that it's abundantly clear what the paths of travel are. ”
