A leading architecture critic and RECORD contributor, David Dillon died June 3 of a heart attack at his Massachusetts home. He was 68.

Dillon, who held degrees from Boston College and Harvard University, joined The Dallas Morning News in 1981, where he continued to work for 25 years. Respected both nationally and regionally, Dillon authored several books, including The Architecture of O’Neil Ford (1999), and taught at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. The school plans to establish a lecture series in honor of Dillon and host a remembrance event this fall.
