Marc Fornes’s NonLin/Lin Pavilion appears lacy anddelicate. But the coral-like self-supporting aluminum structure, which is perforated with thousands of star-shaped holes, is strong enough for someone to stand on, says Fornes, one of RECORD’s 2013 Vanguard designers (see page 86).
