Program: The house was built for an inter-generational family; its design affords independence for individual family members. For ease of access, the house is one story.
Location: Kita-ku, Saitama-shi, Saitama, Japan
Solution: The layout was inspired by the geometry of a Hopscotch game. The buliding is divided into several distinct program areas. A patio brings light and air into the center of the house.
Materials: The wood frame structure features variously pitched roofs and vast expanses of glass.
