Ema Peter of Vancouver-based Ema Peter Photography joins Architectural Record’s DESIGN:ED podcast to discuss marketing architecture, the importance of collaboration, and the influence of photography on the built environment.
“Architectural photography is about creating an image that can stop people in their tracks—capturing a moment they’ll remember. This is the goal. And there are architects who align with me in that they want people to actually experience their projects: to be able to somehow hear and feel the architecture and experience an emotion when they're looking at a photo. For some of my favorite photographers, architects, and artists, when I am in their presence, I feel it, and they feel mine. And that energy is irreplaceable.”
