This month's upcoming exhibitions include a Formafantasma-designed show at the Vitra Design Museum in Germany that explores the radical potential of garden design. 

Born in Philadelphia, the KPF co-founder was instrumental in the global growth of the New York-based firm best known for its high-profile civic and cultural projects and superlatively tall skyscrapers. 

Heralded for his “subtle yet powerful, subdued yet elegant” work, the 52^nd Pritzker laureate is the first British architect to be awarded the prize since Richard Rogers in 2007.

British-born Freear joined the design-build program at Auburn University in 2000, and has made scalable, low-cost housing solutions for impoverished rural communities a primary focus.

This year's winners include the founders of former RECORD Vanguard firms WORKac and de Leon & Primmer Architecture Workshop.  

Led by Diamond Schmitt, Selldorf Architects, and Two Row Architect, the project will add at least 13 new galleries dedicated to modern and contemporary art spread across 40,000 square feet. 

Sponsored in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, the annual competition will award $2 million to fund the construction of proposals that demonstrate the economic and environmental benefits of mass-timber construction.
