Salone del Mobile 2017: New Furnishings Make Their Debuts

Arper introduces Cila, a chair inspired by the image of layers of cloth enveloping the body. Designed by frequent Arper collaborators Alberto Lievore and Jeannette Altherr, Cila’s plastic shell can be customized in six colors with optional seat cushions.

OMA together with Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis created Knoll’s stand at the fairgrounds. Inspired by Mies’s Barcelona Pavilion, it features faux marble floors, a replica of Georg Kolbe’s figurative statue Dawn, and, of course, Barcelona chairs.
