Program: The house, built for a single family with three children, characteristically includes living and dining spaces along with a master bedroom and supplementary, bunk-style bedrooms.

Solution: The house sits among the rolling hills of Chorrillos, Chile. Its one-story, bar-like structure with a gabled roof extends along an east-west axis. The residence is entered from a deck that connects the main volume with a storage shed. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in daylight as well as views of the landscape and the coast.

Construction and materials: The house has a pine wood frame including exposed trusses and a roof clad in pre-patinated zinc.
