The 736-bed Midland Metropolitan University Hospital—a project by Cagni Williams, HKS, and Sonnemann Toon—balances strict technical requirements with design meant to provide comfort and speed the recovery process.

Designed by HKS and SWA, the I-35E–spanning Southern Gateway Park aims to be both a citywide destination and economic catalyst for the Oak Cliff neighborhood.

The architect testified before a congressional subcommittee about a bill that will affect the design of new federal buildings.
