The City of London cited today’s “unprecedented circumstances” in ending plans to build a new home for the London Symphony Orchestra.

The design includes a 32,000-square-foot glass house and the reconstruction and preservation of Roberto Burle Marx's Cascade Garden.

The award spotlights eight emerging individuals or practices in the design profession across North America.

Revered and beloved by the architects with whom he collaborated, Robertson, who died on February 11, may remain best known for engineering the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center (WTC) with architect Minoru Yamasaki.

The temporary installation will be on view to the public through March 10, 2021.

Leslie E. Robertson, preeminent structural engineer of supertall buildings, died on February 11—one day before his 93^rd birthday.
