Featuring a series of planted terraces, the design of the lakefront facility pays homage to legendary developer James Rouse. 

Completed in 1994, the broadcaster’s funky glass office block is a signature work of the late Pritzker laureate. 

A scheme to replace the 122-year-old bridge in lieu of restoring and adapting it to meet modern rail traffic demands would only maintain the structure's original stone piers. 

The architect was recognized for embodying similar values as the award’s namesake, a tireless proponent of climate-adaptive design and public education.  

Winning projects include the 19-story Ascent in Milwaukee and the Houston Endowment Headquarters by Kevin Daly Architects and Productura. 

The winner in the fourth cycle of the Chicago-based awards program triumphed over finalist projects located in Houston, Medellín, Vancouver, and beyond.

The two planned museums will join Centre Pompidou x Jersey City as the newest satellite locations for the Paris-based modern and contemporary art powerhouse.
