The Italian Pritzker winner’s firm was chosen for The Center for Arts and Innovation from a shortlist that included Ennead, OMA, and Foster + Partners.

The architect was recognized for embodying similar values as the award’s namesake, a tireless proponent of climate-adaptive design and public education.  

The planned Oolite Arts campus, to be located in Miami’s Little Haiti, references its industrial surroundings with a climate-specific design.

The center continues the architect’s interest in libraries as vital community centers.
