In a nod to America’s 250th anniversary, the July issue kicks off with a slate of special features, including a survey of the country’s most significant works of architecture and a critique of the gigantic triumphal arch proposed for Washington, D.C. The issue’s housing-focused project section remains stateside for visits to multifamily developments in Los Angeles and Brooklyn while also expanding for profiles of notable new examples of the typology in Paraguay, Canada, and the south of France. Similarly, this month’s Forum opinion column also zeros in on housing while other project stories detail an Indigenous law school in British Columbia and a waterfront cultural complex in Shenzhen.
